Garuda Indonesia proudly shipped 15 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine raw materials from China to Indonesia. Garuda Indonesia's aircraft type Boeing 777-300ER, PK-GIJ registration with the flight number GA891 landed safely at Soekarno Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Banten on Tuesday (12/1) afternoon from Beijing Capital International Airport, China. The arrival of 15 million doses of vaccine raw material was the third arrival after 1.2 million and 1.8 million ready-to-use vaccines had arrived in Indonesia in the previous two arrivals. The raw materials for vaccines from the Sinovac company would be further processed as ready-to-use vaccines by the state-owned pharmaceutical company, Bio Farma.

Furthermore, it would be used as one of the Covid-19 vaccines in the free mass vaccination program for 181.5 million people throughout Indonesia. The Covid-19 vaccine produced by Sinovac has obtained an emergency use permit from Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM) after previously received a halal fatwa from Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI). In addition, in terms of shipping and distributing of vaccines, the Company has officially obtained Goods Distribution Practices certification for Pharmaceutical Cargo.
